Thank you for looking at that!

Can you please try to change that to just:

 BUILDLINK_API_DEPENDS.openssl+=      openssl>=3.0

As suggested in PR pkg/59899: www/curl fails on NetBSD 9?
If that works and obtain the same effect, please commit it too!

I found that's simpler and more explicit compared to PREFER_PKGSRC.
